Let's get to 1.0! Marvel vs DC vs SNK vs Capcom 1.0

Elecbyte is back (or partially). Finally we can now update the title/option/etc. screens in hi-res (480p or 720p but still 256 colors).

Specs for MvDvSvC 1.0 screenpack : Resolution 640x480. New HR logo, new option screen, new select screen : 349 Characters (+ 19 Hidden Chars) (+ 3 unselectables spaces for Bonus Chars)

Back to the Future... 2010. Marvel vs DC vs SNK vs Capcom

WinMUGEN select screen goes hi-res! Roster needed more slots (thanks to IMT, Scuffy Dragon, CVG United). And always this craving of customization... The extra long MvDvSvC title has no explanation (and still not today), I just wanted to make things concretely simple.

This screenpack is an edit of the old Capcom Allstars Fighting. Select screen can hold 232 Characters (+ 18 hidden chars) (+ an unselectable space for bonus chars). Option screen has been made from Final Fight SFA2 stage (converted by NeoGouki). Title screen menu made with FntEditor.

I also made a LowRes version (s
elect screen : 136 chars + 6 hidden chars), for hardcore classic WinMUGEN.

Back to the Future... 2006. Capcom Allstars Fighting

MUGEN ported (hacked) to Windows (and Xbox 1st gen) made me coming back to this fabulous shit. That year I found new fantastics characters creators (Loganir, Brazil Mugen Team, etc), and that the CPS2 world was (almost) fully converted to MUGEN. So I wanted to make a new screenpack for the SFA-MVC-DS's style characters ; my source was a SFA3 screenpack by MHZ ; used some stuffs from Sfgalleries too. I called the screenpack Capcom Allstars Fighting, inspired by the canceled Capcom Fighting All Stars (cf Fightersgeneration's page).

For information, since 2009 there is a team working on a Capcom All Stars MUGEN project with lots of very good new sprites, you can check the project at MFG. Hope to see this coming one day...

Back to the Future... 2001. Oldschool screenpacks

In its early years, MUGEN was a revolution (and still it is), even with our powerless computers (config in 2001 : AMD Duron 800 + 128mo RAM on Windows 98) and worked only with MSDOS. CPS2 and Neogeo emulation were at the top, we could test arcade games we never imagined to have in our hands, and dreamed also about CPS3 emulation (impossible at this time). For french audience, the newspaper Le Monde made a quick article about MUGEN, I think this was the only time I saw a big newspaper talking about Elecbyte in France. This year I began a first personal website called D.iN.S.V. with some of my young stuffs, links and designs.

I made two screenpacks (playing with Photoshop 5 (which was a revolution for me too)).
The first sp 0731 was just a personal test. For the record, I shared it with someone who shared with someone and someone and someone etc. and finally got released on certain sites (mugen-fr, mugen planet, italian mugen project (dead sites today!)).

For the second sp 0411, I wanted to put a maximum of characters in the select screen (510 slots) and make something different from what we could see at this time. I used some artworks from SVC Chaos manga.

Along with my MUGEN and Photoshop fever, I released that year a full game/compilation Last Samurai Battle, (Samurai Spirits vs Last Blade characters). Basic compilation but still famous. Made a mini site for it too.
Last month someone asked me if I had a link for it and I finally found a french site (jeuxmangas.net) that hosts it. I worked on a v2 but never finished it (the files were saved on a dvdr, they will serve for a future release, or not).
